Wapping, Shadwell and a grim prospect
From Wapping to Tower Bridge
Not the easiest place to get to by public transport, Wapping offers an olde worlde mix of warehouses, quayside yards and cobbled streets, interspersed with modern gleaming steel and glass luxury apartments and an ever increasing cluster of hopeful estate agents.
If you walk along the river bank heading west, you are greeted by iconic views of The Shard, County Hall and of course, London Bridge.

The other end of Abbey Road
Yes, that Abbey Road, the one the Beatles famously crossed via the zebra crossing for their zillion selling album as featured here
I did not take this photo by the way!
If one continues in the direction the camera is facing, one will arrive at the junction with Belsize Road. Just before this junction, on the right hand side, as you leave Westminster and enter Camden you will be affronted by a concrete monstrosity known as Alexandra and Ainsworth estate. Surprisingly, people actually live in these buildings.
